Charbar is a wood-fire steakhouse founded in 2015 by chefs Connie DeSousa and John Jackson in the restored 1912 Simmons Building beside the Bow River in Calgary's East Village. A custom Argentine parrilla anchors the kitchen, and the building also holds a cocktail bar and the Connie & John's rooftop patio. Its menu page lists an afternoon happy hour and a Wine Wednesday discount.
