How we verify restaurant deals
Every deal on DinersDeals is traced to an official restaurant source, labelled with its status and dated with the last time we checked it. Right now 1220 of 1227 live deals are Verified.
What each status means
- Verified
We saw it on an official source
The offer was published on the restaurant's own website, app or official social account on the last-verified date shown. Verified does not guarantee that every branch honours it, so check the participating locations.
- Unconfirmed
We could not confirm it at the last check
We have a credible lead, or the offer was verified before but was missing from the official source when we last looked. It may still be running. Call the restaurant before you go.
- Expired
The offer has ended
Expired deals are removed from every listing, city page, search result and data feed on the site, so you will not find them here.
Sources we accept
Counts as evidence
- The restaurant's website: specials, promotions and menu pages
- The restaurant's official app or loyalty program
- The restaurant's official social accounts
- The official store locator, for branch addresses
A lead, never proof
- News articles and food blogs
- Coupon and deal-sharing sites
- Posts and reviews by other people
- Search engine snippets
If we cannot find an offer on an official source, it is not marked Verified.
How a deal gets listed
Find it at the source
We start from the restaurant's own specials, promotions and menu pages, its app and its official social accounts. News stories, blogs and posts by other people only tell us where to look.
Record the details in our own words
Price and what it includes, valid days and hours, restrictions, and whether it is for dine-in, takeout or delivery. We do not copy marketing copy and we never fill in a detail we could not see.
Match it to branches
Each deal is tied to where the restaurant says it applies: every location, one province, certain cities or specific branches. Branch addresses come from the restaurant's official store locator.
Label and date it
The deal gets its status, the date of the check and a link to the exact page where the offer is published.
Re-check it
Our research team re-checks offers regularly. Changed details are updated. An offer missing at a re-check becomes Unconfirmed, and if it is still missing at the following check, or the restaurant says it has ended, it is marked Expired and removed.
Last-verified dates
The date on each deal is the most recent day we confirmed it on the official source. Our latest check was on November 2, 2026. A recent date tells you the restaurant was publishing the offer then. It is not a promise that a branch will honour it today, because restaurants can change or end promotions without notice.
Participating locations
- Many chains let each franchise choose whether to run an offer and what to charge, so we list the branches in each city where the restaurant says the deal applies.
- When a restaurant says an offer is only at participating locations without naming them, we show that restriction on the deal. Call the branch to confirm before you go.
- Offers that apply to one branch only are listed for that branch alone.
Prices
Prices are shown as the restaurant publishes them, in Canadian dollars before tax and tip. When a deal is a discount rather than a fixed price, such as half-price wings or 20% off, we show the discount and what it applies to.
